I’m Kind of Shocked This Hasn’t Happened to Me Yet.

Spongebob One of my favourite sites to visit each day is FML.com. Sometimes I can identify with certain FML submissions and sometimes it reminds me that some one, somewhere is having a crappier day than me.

Now while this particular FML hasn't happened to me, it made me think it's only a matter of time before it does:

"Today,
my 2 year old thought it would be absolutely hilarious to lock me out
of the house, turn Spongebob on the TV, and get a chocolate bar from
the fridge. All while I was outside. My husband was at work for another 5 hours. FML"

I'm so glad my kid can't read yet. No need for her to get any crazy ideas.

Odds are that this particular Mom is cursing those Melissa & Doug lock-and-latch puzzles she did with her child in hopes of increasing Junior's manual dexterity. Look where all that over-achieving parenting got her: locked outside and at the mercy of her two-year old.

So that this particular Mom's FML wasn't suffered in vain, I'm having a spare key made up pronto and I'm hiding it outside the apartment. Like I said: it's only a matter of time before my nose is pressed up against the living room window.
