A few years back I saw a news report on people who purchased mannequins so they could sneak into the car pool lanes — or at least they claimed that was their original intention for the acquisition. But then some of these life-size doll owners started bringing their fake coworkers into their home and using them to keep themselves company. It was a creepy report to watch and I really wish that I could find it on YouTube.
Anyway. That was kind of weird.
Know what else is kind of weird? A life size Edward Cullen shaped pillow to keep you company in bed.
I really can't make this stuff up folks.
It scares me a little bit knowing there is a market for these things. A market made up of girls (and probably some boys) who want to sleep with a fictional character who sparkles. Or maybe I'm just getting old.
But then having Edward's arms to hold you in his cold embrace and always watch over you might be nice. Or not. Yeah, that's too much.
Actually, he does look comfy and it sure is a heck of a lot less creepy than putting his shadow on your bedroom wall. I think.
Maybe I'm just confused as to what's normal these days. Or maybe I'm just a Twilight Mom. Or something.

There were stories reported recently about a whole sub-culture based around this very idea in Japan: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/26/magazine/26FOB-2DLove-t.html?pagewanted=all
“pillow talk” indeed!
EEEEEEEK!
That’s good, I want a beauty.
You know, I used to wish my body pillow had arms. I guess how you use it could be creepy, but if my husband weren’t, well… there, I would get one.
dude. that’s creepy.
