While there might be some merit to talking about all the life in the sea and how a giant slick of life-snuffing oil impacts the communities of Ariel and Nemo and SpongeBob, my recommendation is that you NOT use visual aids like the one that I have posted below, lest you find yourself in a position where you have to explain what the mourning rituals are for bereaved starfish and, also, what it is like to die horribly in an oil spill.

.
Or maybe you DO want to talk about it in exactly this way and then co-ordinate a kindergarten-wide letter writing campaign to BP that allows children to ask the company, directly, WHY ARE YOU KILLING OUR FRIENDS AND OUR DREAMS?

I think the Spongebob soaked in oil is a great way to dhow kids whats happening down in the Gulf BP oil spill. Its something they cab actually relate to and start to understand how damaging and horrible the whole oil spill disaster really is.
.-= Doug Suttles´s last blog ..Rachel Maddow Blasts Doug Suttles =-.
Squidward and Mr. Crab can be a good representation too. :D
It is important that even children is aware on how the oil spill affect our oceans and our environment.
Frustrated with the BP oil spill disaster? Get a BP BLOWS t-shirt and do your part to rescue wildlife and keep the pressure on BP to cleanup the oil spill and remove every last drop of oil from the Gulf of Mexico and beyond.
i love the way spongebob laughs, he is really very cheesy*-*
